Properties: Antioxidant MB from Sulfur Flower? is light yellow or white powdery crystal with bitter taste.
Relative density is 1.42 ± 0.02 g/cm3. It is soluble in ethanol, acetone and ethyl acetate, slightly soluble in petroleum ether and dichloromethane, insoluble in carbon tetrachloride, benzene and water, and non-toxic.
Uses: Rubber antioxidant MB can effectively protect against copper damage and overcome the adverse effects caused by oversulfurization. It can retard the effects of accelerators M, DM, TMTD and other similar agents, and has a synergistic effect with amine and phenolic antioxidants. It will not discolor, and is often used in wires, cables, transparent light-colored products. It is also used as a heat stabilizer for polyethylene and polypropylene.
