Properties

Reacts violently with water: Extremely sensitive to air and moisture, will react violently with water and release flammable ethylene.

Flammable: Its solution is a flammable liquid. In humid air, violent exothermic reaction will occur and release flammable ethylene.

Stability: Operations and storage should be carried out under the protection of anhydrous and oxygen-free inert gases (such as nitrogen or argon). Avoid contact with oxidants, acids, alcohols, etc. at room temperature.

Applications

1. Pharmaceutical industry: Widely used in drug synthesis.

2. General Grignard reagent: Used as a nucleophilic reagent in organic synthesis to react with aldehydes, ketones, esters, epoxides and other substances, introducing vinyl groups into substrate molecules. It is the most commonly used member of vinyl Grignard reagents. Specific applications include reacting with aldehydes and ketones to prepare allyl alcohols, undergoing conjugate addition or coupling reactions under the presence of metal catalysts to synthesize olefin compounds, and serving as precursors for preparing other organometallic compounds.

Packaging/Storage

1. 500ml glass bottles; 200L iron drums and steel cylinders.

2. During use, this product should be isolated from air and moisture to the greatest extent, and it is best to use it up once opened. If color difference or micro-precipitation is found in the product, it will not affect the product performance.

3. Store at room temperature.
