Main Uses: Hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS) is an important organosilicon compound with wide applications in the fields of organosilicon chemistry and organic synthesis. Hexamethyldisilazane is not only a key raw material for the synthesis of hexamethyldisilurea (BSU), but also a commonly used silylating reagent in organic synthesis, possessing significant industrial utilization value. In organosilazane chemistry, it can be used for chlorine exchange with chlorosilane monomers to obtain polysilazanes; this method has huge advantages in synthesis compared to the direct ammonia method. In the semiconductor industry, it is used as an adhesion promoter for photoresists.
