Easily soluble in water to form a clear and transparent solution. Resistant to heat, acid, alkali, metal salts, and chlorine. Has no affinity for various fibers. Used as a penetrant in the textile industry for processes such as sizing, desizing, scouring, bleaching, carbonizing, and chlorination. Also used as a penetration aid in dyeing and finishing baths, as a penetrant for leather coatings, and for scouring synthetic fiber fabrics. Possesses strong cleaning ability. |
