[Product Introduction]

HA-AL can serve as a protective colloid and complexing agent in the dyeing process of cellulose fibers and polyester/cellulose fiber blends. It prevents precipitation caused by hard water and other impurities during the dyeing of grey fabric and can be used in pre-treatment scouring.
This product differs from ordinary water softeners; it does not interact with metal ions in dyes during dyeing, thus avoiding any changes in color shade. It can also be used as a soaping agent for reactive dyes, with particularly noticeable effects on turquoise blue and bright red colors.

[Performance and Characteristics]

HA-AL exhibits excellent dispersing action on grey fabric impurities that may precipitate in alkaline dye baths. Its complexing effect on various calcium ions is similar to products derived from ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or nitrilotriacetic acid. However, unlike these complexing agents, HA-AL does not dissolve metal ions such as copper and chromium present in metal-complex dyes, thus not affecting the color shade and fastness of metal-complex reactive and direct dyes. HA-AL does not retain dye in the bath and, due to its lack of surfactant properties, does not cause foaming.

[Application]

1. Dyeing of polyester-cotton blended fabrics
After the polyester portion of the grey fabric is dyed, cotton impurities dissolved in the acidic medium can easily form precipitates in subsequent alkaline dye baths. Due to its dispersing and complexing properties, adding HA-AL prevents such precipitation, which is particularly critical in jig dyeing processes. The recommended concentration is 1~2 g/L, added at the initial stage of dyeing.

2. Dyeing of cotton fabrics with vat dyes
Because HA-AL acts as a protective colloid in alkaline dye baths and has a significant complexing effect on metal ions such as calcium and magnesium, it is highly suitable for dyeing cotton fabrics with vat dyes. Its use eliminates the need for additional special protective colloids or complexing agents. The application concentration in the working solution is 1~3 g/L.

3. Dyeing of cotton fabrics with reactive dyes
When using reactive dyes, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid-type complexing agents should not be used, as they can dissolve metal ions from many dyes, reducing the color fastness of the dyed fabric. In contrast, HA-AL does not affect metal-complex dyes and can therefore replace polyphosphates at the same concentration in reactive dyeing processes.

[Packaging and Storage]

Packaged in 50kg plastic drums. Store and transport as a general chemical. Keep in a dry, ventilated place. Shelf life: one year.
