The KSPH 170GF High-Temperature pH Electrode from Fesks is a combination electrode (measurement + reference) with excellent high-temperature resistance. It can withstand temperatures up to approximately 130°C for extended periods, making it highly durable in fermentation applications. It is suitable for continuous pH monitoring in high-temperature solutions such as high-temperature fermentation and bacterial culture.

Daily Maintenance of Electrodes
1. General contamination: Clean the electrode with water, 0.1 mol/L NaOH, or 0.1 mol/L HCl for several minutes.
2. Oil or organic contamination: Clean the electrode with acetone or ethanol for several seconds.
3. Sulfide contamination (blackened diaphragm): Clean with a mixture of 10% HCl and saturated thiourea.
4. Protein contamination (yellowed diaphragm): Clean with a mixture of 10% HCl and saturated pepsin.
Note: When the measured medium causes sulfide or protein contamination, timely treatment is required.
Electrode Storage
1. When not in use for an extended period, store the electrode in saturated KCl solution or buffer solution.
2. Do not store the electrode dry or with dried medium on its surface. Dry-stored electrodes should be activated in a suitable storage solution before use.
3. Electrodes can be activated in pH 4 buffer solution or 3M HCl (or saturated KCl).
4. Do not store electrodes in distilled water.
