Main Purpose:

A cloud chamber is a device that can partially or fully control conditions such as air pressure, temperature, and humidity to create clouds and fog. The cloud chamber is primarily used for scientific research in cloud and fog physics and weather modification, including studies on the formation, microphysical structure, and evolution patterns of weather modification targets (such as clouds, fog, precipitation, hail, frost, etc.), research on the principles of weather modification catalysis, development of efficient catalysts, catalytic tools, catalytic techniques, and the research and development of new types of catalysts.

Technical Parameters:

1) Fog is divided into cold fog and hot fog, with particle sizes ranging from 5 to 15 μm; clouds can be formed through dry adiabatic expansion.

2) The laboratory temperature can reach the minimum test temperature of -45°C and remain stable at this temperature, with all equipment functioning normally over the long term.

3) The temperature measurement accuracy in the laboratory is ±0.1°C, and the temperature difference within the main experimental area (up to 14 meters vertically) can be adjusted.

4) The laboratory uses external insulation, allowing the cloud chamber to cool from room temperature (32°C) to the set temperature (-45°C) in less than 1 hour; it also ensures that the temperature inside the cloud chamber can be maintained at -45°C for extended periods.

5) The laboratory pressure can be reduced to 100 hPa within half an hour.
