Introduction:

It is well known that equipment, whether in operation or storage, will be affected to varying degrees by various forms of water, with rain being the most common. Even though some equipment has rain protection measures, it may still be affected by condensation or leakage water on its surfaces.

The purpose of conducting a rain test on equipment is to determine the ability of its enclosure to prevent rainwater penetration and to assess its operational effectiveness during or after exposure to rain.

Main Applications:

The rain test chamber is suitable for simulating the dynamic operation of products under various intensities of rain to evaluate the effectiveness of their rain protection quality. It is primarily used for testing the protection of external lighting, signaling devices, and automotive lamp housings in industries such as electronics, electrical engineering, aerospace, military, and scientific research institutions. Rain tests can mainly be used to determine the effectiveness of protective covers or enclosures in preventing rain penetration; the ability of equipment to meet its performance requirements during or after exposure to rain; physical damage to equipment caused by rain; and the effectiveness of rainwater drainage systems.
