It prevents water accumulation on road surfaces, does not reflect light at night, enhances road surface safety and travel comfort, and avoids the formation of a water film between tires and the road surface on rainy days, shortening braking distances and improving driving safety. In winter, the reverse transpiration effect of permeable pavement causes snow and ice on permeable surfaces to melt faster than on conventional pavements. Melted snow turns into water and drains directly underground through the permeable pavement, leaving no surface water accumulation or ice formation, making permeable pavement more slip-resistant in winter compared to conventional surfaces.
