It prevents water accumulation on road surfaces, does not reflect light at night, enhances road surface safety and driving comfort, and avoids the formation of a water film between tires and the road surface on rainy days, shortening braking distances and improving driving safety. In winter, the reverse transpiration effect of permeable pavement causes snow and ice on such surfaces to melt faster than on conventional roads. The melted snow directly drains into the ground through the permeable pavement, leaving no surface water or ice, making permeable pavement more slip-resistant in winter compared to traditional roads.
