In winter, the reverse transpiration effect of permeable pavement causes snow and ice on the surface to melt faster than on ordinary roads. The melted snow turns into water and drains directly into the ground through the permeable pavement, leaving no surface water accumulation or ice formation, making permeable pavement more anti-slip than ordinary roads in winter.
