Shenyang Research Institute of Photographic materials & Chemical Industry(PCR) was founded in 1969 and it is one of the national science & technology institutes.
The institute’s main research fields include photographic organic compounds, special dyes, intermediates for dye,intermediates for pharmaceuticals,and structural identification & purification for standard sample.
There are 249 employees at PCR, including 148 scientists, engineers, and technicians, 5 PhDs,14 M.S., 28 professors and senior engineers.
In the R&D division there are 24 research laboratories, including organic synthesis, applied chemical research, structural identification & purification for reference standard.
The R&D division is equipped with Mass spectrograph, N.M.R. spectrograph, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, FTIR spectrophotometer, Elemental Analyzer, HPLC(for preparation ), High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, Electronmicroscope and other standard analytical equipment.
In the production division there are a commercial plant, a pilot plant and a hydrogenation unit, the production division is equipped with 5 high-pressure reactors(100L-1500L) and 72 reactors(500L-5000L) ,and a quality control center with a whole set of detection equipments.
The institutes has been certified with ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environment Management System and OHSMS18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
The institutes owns 28 Chinese patents. It has established 9 national standards.
