Product Usage
Commonly used as a catalyst for polyurethane products and room temperature curing silicone rubber. Because it is a divalent tin compound, it is easily oxidized to a tetravalent tin compound after foaming. It can act as an antioxidant when left in the foam and has no adverse effect on the foam. Also used as epoxy resin catalyst curing agent. During curing, stannous octoate has greater catalytic activity than dibutyltin dilaurate. If they are used in combination, the effect will be better than when used alone.

Storage Precautions
