I. Introduction to Special-Shaped Steel Beams

II. Processing Workflow

1. Design Detailing: Based on architectural design drawings, structural engineers use specialized software such as Tekla Structures and AutoCAD for detailed design. This involves specifying the precise dimensions of the special-shaped steel beams, connection methods for various parts, material specifications, and processing accuracy requirements, resulting in construction drawings that include complete processing information.

2. Material Preparation: Select appropriate steel materials according to design requirements, commonly using low-alloy high-strength structural steels like Q345 and Q390. Strict quality control is essential during procurement, including reviewing quality certification documents and conducting sampling tests to ensure the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the steel meet standards.

3. Cutting and Blanking: Choose suitable cutting equipment based on the complexity and precision requirements of the steel beams. For regular shapes with lower precision demands, flame cutting may be used; for high-precision special-shaped sections, CNC plasma cutting or laser cutting is preferred. Parameters such as cutting speed and gas flow must be strictly controlled during cutting to ensure surface flatness and dimensional accuracy.

4. Forming Processing: For the unique shapes of special-shaped steel beams, processes such as bending, rolling, and stamping are typically employed. When using hydraulic pipe benders for bending, adjust the bending dies and pressure parameters according to the steel material and bending radius. Begin with shot blasting or sandblasting to remove scale, rust, and other impurities, achieving a certain surface roughness. Then apply coatings, typically starting with a primer, followed by an intermediate coat and a top coat, selecting appropriate paint types and coating thicknesses based on the usage environment.
