Properties: Light yellow or light brown amorphous powder, oxidizes and darkens in color when exposed to air, odorless, astringent taste. Soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate.
Uses
(1) Widely used in extraction, manufacturing of ferric ink, metal rust prevention, mud treatment agent for petroleum drilling, and raw material for pharmaceutical industry.
(2) Solid for fabric printing and dyeing can be used to produce leather tanning agents, mordants, rubber coagulants, protein agents, alkaloid precipitants.
(3) Pharmaceutical products, such as raw material for sulfonamide synergists (TMP), etc.
(4) Chemical products, raw material for producing pharmaceutical gallic acid, pyrogallic acid, sulfa drugs, also raw material for producing gallic acid and pyrogallic acid.
