Precautions for Using a Branch Crusher
Check the cable length before starting to ensure safe power connection. Place the machine on a stable, flat surface to prevent shaking or shifting during operation. Avoid using it in overly humid weather or on gravel grounds to prevent mud from clogging the equipment. Keep a dry powder fire extinguisher within ten meters of the operating area to address potential fires caused by wood chip accumulation.
Wear industrial-grade noise-canceling ear muffs, as prolonged exposure to high-decibel crushing operations can cause hearing damage. Use metal-framed goggles to protect against rebounding wood chunks hitting the eyes. Choose fully enclosed protective gloves to avoid skin contact, and avoid wearing loose clothing or scarves that could get caught in the machine.
Process branches on sunny days. Allow rotten or deteriorated wood to dry thoroughly before crushing. Wet blades can produce acidic or alkaline gases that damage motor coils. For hardwood materials larger than the feed port diameter, pre-process them by cutting into smaller sections with a wood splitter to reduce motor fluctuations.
If abnormal screeching is heard, immediately cut off the main power and check if the bearings are dislodged. A metallic friction odor indicates turbine overheating—halt operation to allow cooling. After two hours of continuous operation, enforce a 40-minute shutdown to ensure periodic maintenance of the equipment.
When maintaining the blades, turn off the main unit and unplug it for five minutes to ensure the machinery is completely still. Perform bi-monthly inspections of the rotating mechanism and replenish grease. Check the belt for cracks and replace it as needed. In winter, store antifreeze lubricant at the ports.
