Fluorosilicone anti-corrosion coating is a two-component coating composed of fluorosilicone-modified resin, special pigments and fillers, solvents, additives, and curing agents, offering excellent high durability and anti-corrosion properties. It basically does not produce low-molecular volatiles during use, allowing for low-pressure molding or contact pressure molding. It can be combined with various curing agents to produce environmentally friendly coatings such as solvent-free, high-solid, powder coatings, and water-based coatings. With the current trend towards water-based coatings, fluorosilicone water-based coatings are also continuously being developed and applied. Water-based fluorosilicone anti-corrosion coating is a two-component heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating that can cure at room temperature. It is prepared through advanced processes using fluorosilicone-modified resin, interpenetrating network polymers, special pigments and fillers, and various special additives.

Water-based fluorosilicone coatings have the following characteristics:

1. Excellent anti-corrosion performance

Water-based fluorosilicone anti-corrosion coatings have good gloss and color retention, with a paint film that is wear-resistant and impact-resistant. The coating exhibits outstanding weather resistance, friction resistance, wipe resistance, stain resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, water resistance, and anti-fouling properties.

2. Extremely strong weather resistance

The coating offers excellent resistance to UV radiation, weathering, water resistance, anti-static properties, and aging resistance, with a long service life. Under non-special circumstances, the anti-corrosion lifespan can exceed 20 years.

3. Outstanding oil resistance

Water-based fluorosilicone anti-corrosion coatings have excellent oil resistance, resisting animal and vegetable oils, transformer oil, diesel, mineral oils, and more.

4. Superior aging resistance

The coating shows no powdering, cracking, or peeling under accelerated aging conditions.

5. Good compatibility

Water-based fluorosilicone anti-corrosion coatings exhibit excellent adhesion to various primers such as epoxy, acrylic, polyurethane, and unsaturated polyester.

Thanks to its excellent resistance to high and low temperatures, weather resistance, waterproofing, and oil resistance, water-based fluorosilicone anti-corrosion coatings can be applied in anti-fouling and anti-corrosion for marine vessels, as well as for the inner and outer walls of oilfield pipelines, chemical facilities, bridges, offshore facilities, dock facilities, urban steel structures, and cement structures. Additionally, due to its low surface energy, water-based fluorosilicone anti-corrosion coatings can also be used for protective coatings on solar energy installations. They are also suitable for wood, plastic-steel profiles, aluminum alloys, cement, trains, airplanes, ships, automobiles, road sign billboards, highway guardrails, and the decoration and protection of large steel structures. The ultra-long weather resistance, good anti-fouling properties, excellent scrub resistance, and superior coating performance of fluorosilicone water-based coatings can prevent small advertisements from proliferating on building exteriors. It is reported that in the streets and alleys of Nanjing Pukou, after applying fluorosilicone coatings on building exteriors, small advertisements glued with adhesive automatically fall off; those attached with stickers can detach on their own under wind, rain, or other external forces, leaving no trace; and more stubborn advertisements, such as those sprayed with paint, can be wiped off with a wet cloth.

Fluorosilicone anti-corrosion coatings possess anti-corrosion functions that other new building materials lack, and they will secure a place in the anti-corrosion field.
