Human-Machine Interface (HMI)

Basic Working Principle

The device operates based on programming between an upper computer and PLC. The computer, as the HMI, richly displays the device's working status and allows basic settings as per user requirements. The PLC, as the core control component, manages lifting, stirring, titration, etc. The device supports both automatic and manual modes: automatic follows pre-programmed workflows, while manual allows step-by-step debugging of components.

3. Device Structure and Working Principle

3.1 Structure and Components

3.1.1 Stirring motor: The motor operates at 270 rpm, meeting the national standard requirement of 250–300 rpm. The motor shaft is connected to a stirring rod that extends into the solution for thorough mixing of substances like limestone in the beaker.

3.1.2 Acid injection port: Made of acid-alkali resistant material, it resists corrosion from acids or bases. The titration acid tube can be inserted here, allowing acid to flow into the beaker below.

3.1.3 PH meter: The PH meter is an electrode sensor that measures the solution's PH value in real-time via connection to an instrument. It comes with a protective cover; when not in use for extended periods, cover it to maintain moisture. The performance of the pH/ORP meter largely depends on electrode maintenance. Regularly clean the electrode to avoid contamination and recalibrate periodically to correct slope errors. For calibration, see relevant sections later. Ensure the electrode is immersed in the solution during reactions or after discharge to prolong its life. Keep cable connectors clean and dry.

Activation: If stored dry, soak the electrode in distilled water for 24 hours before use to activate it; otherwise, calibration and measurement may incur significant errors.

Cleaning: If contamination affects accuracy, gently brush the electrode head with a soft brush and rinse with clean water.
