Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) grating is a panel material with numerous openings, made by combining glass fiber as reinforcement with unsaturated polyester resin as the matrix through a special processing technique. It can be used as structural material for floors, trench covers, platforms, ship decks, stairways, and walkways in corrosive environments.

Due to the presence of corrosive liquids and gases, metals in these areas corrode rapidly. Although anti-corrosion coatings and other measures are taken, the corrosion of components remains significant, not only creating poor production environments but also affecting safety. Sometimes production must be halted for maintenance. Using FRP grating as a structural material in these areas can be highly effective.
