All-Plastic (EPDM) Honeycomb Inclined Tube Settler Our factory produces hexagonal honeycomb fillers in two forms: inclined tubes and straight tubes. The materials used include polypropylene and fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP). Inclined tubes are primarily used for various sedimentation and desilting purposes. Over the past decade, they have become one of the most widely adopted water treatment devices in water supply and drainage engineering. They offer broad applicability, high treatment efficiency, and a small footprint. Suitable for desilting at water intakes, sedimentation in general industrial and domestic water supply, wastewater sedimentation, oil separation, and tailings concentration, these tubes are effective for both new construction projects and the renovation of existing old tanks, delivering significant economic benefits. Main Features: 1. Large wetted perimeter, small hydraulic radius. 2. Excellent laminar flow conditions, minimizing turbulence interference with particle settlement. 3. When the inclined tube length is 1 meter, the effective load is designed at 3–5 tons/m2·h. Optimal effluent quality is achieved when the overflow rate (VO) is controlled within 2.5–3.0 mm/s. 4. When FRP honeycomb inclined tubes with a length of 2–3.0 meters are used at water intakes, they can safely operate and treat high turbidity water with sediment content of 50–100 kg/m3. 5. Since the specific gravity of the inclined tube filler is 0.92, slightly less than that of water, it should be secured with ?10mm threaded steel or round steel tension bars above the filler to prevent loosening and floating. Both the steel bars and angle steels must be treated with epoxy coal tar pitch anti-corrosion coating. 2. Plate A as shown in the diagram must be installed; otherwise, the inclined tube filler may tilt or even collapse. > Installation Procedure 1. Installation of Sludge Discharge Pipe at the Bottom of the Sedimentation Tank The installation of the inclined tube settler generally starts from the bottom. First, complete the installation of the sludge discharge pipeline system at the very bottom. Ensure that the openings of the sludge discharge pipes meet the design requirements and are securely fixed. Only after verification should you proceed to the next installation step. 2. Completion of Filler Support Installation According to the installation drawings for the filler support of the inclined tube settler, install the filler support in place first. Check that all welded joints are secure and that the support structure is strong enough to bear the weight of the filler. Apply anti-corrosion treatment to the surface of the support. 3. Completion of Inclined Tube Filler Soldering Follow the soldering method for the inclined tube filler, treating each package of inclined tube filler as a separate soldering unit. After soldering, each unit covers an area of 1 m2. Stack the soldered units neatly on-site (keep a small number of loose pieces as spares). 4. On-Site Assembly of Inclined Tube Filler Assemble the soldered filler units on top of the filler support from left to right. Maintain a constant angle of 60°. Apply appropriate pressure during the sequential assembly of each unit. If the dimensions do not fit perfectly when assembling to the far right, use loose pieces of inclined tube filler, solder them, and then assemble until everything is in place. 5. Securing the Top of the Inclined Tube Filler Since the specific gravity of the inclined tube filler is 0.92, slightly less than that of water, after assembly in the tank, reinforce the top of the filler by stretching ?10mm round steel bars from left to right (each unit requires two round steel bars passing above it). Securely fix both ends of the round steel bars to the walls of the sedimentation tank. Installing the round steel bars effectively prevents possible loosening and floating of the inclined tube filler during initial use. The round steel bars must be treated with epoxy coal tar pitch anti-corrosion coating. 6. Commissioning and Operation of the Inclined Tube Settler - Check whether the water inflow is uniform to avoid impact on the sedimentation tank, which could affect sedimentation efficiency. - Adjust the height and levelness of the effluent weir trough to ensure uniform water outflow. - After completing the above steps, the installation of the inclined tube settler filler is fully complete. Once operational, determine the sludge discharge cycle based on the concentration of suspended solids in the inflow. Ensure timely sludge discharge to maintain optimal operation of the inclined tube settler and satisfactory effluent quality.
