Function

These additives deflocculate pigments through steric hindrance. Due to the small size of deflocculated pigment particles, high gloss and enhanced color strength can be achieved.

Additionally, transparency and hiding power are increased. These products reduce viscosity, thereby improving leveling and allowing higher pigment loading.

DISPERBYK-110 is suitable for stabilizing inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide, and significantly reduces grinding paste viscosity. Due to its anionic

characteristics, it is well-suited for acid-catalyzed systems (e.g., coil coatings). It reduces haze in coatings containing inorganic pigments applied by electrostatic spray.

It can be used together with pigment pastes stabilized with DISPERBYK-160 series additives (see data sheet W1).

Incorporation and Processing Guidelines

For optimal performance, the additive should be added to the grinding paste before introducing the pigments.

Below 5°C, separation and cloudiness may occur.

Warm to 20°C and mix thoroughly before use.
