As a purification device for kitchen fumes, the most common purification method on the market is electrostatic adsorption. This process involves ionizing the air to give it an electric charge, which is then adsorbed by the opposite charge to achieve removal. Electrostatic methods are further divided into high-voltage electrostatic and low-voltage electrostatic (relatively speaking). So why is the combination of high and low voltage common, while pure high voltage is relatively rare?

Disassembling the electric field components, after removing the white air distribution nets on both sides, the left side is the high-voltage zone, and the right side is the low-voltage zone. Fumes enter from the left side, are ionized and charged in the high-voltage zone, and then are adsorbed when passing through the low-voltage zone. The voltage in the high-voltage zone is generally above 12KV, while the low-voltage zone typically operates at 220V to 800V. In a pure high-voltage electric field, both the high and low voltage sections in the diagram above are replaced with high voltage, and of course, the structure also undergoes some changes. This means that the voltage in both zones exceeds 10KV. Compared to the dual-zone high-low voltage electric field, the pure high-voltage electric field has relatively superior adsorption capabilities because a higher voltage electric field possesses stronger ionization and air breakdown abilities, which similarly enhances adsorption performance.
