1. Normal Operation and Inspection of Plate Heat Exchanger

(1) Regularly inspect all sealing surfaces and welds of the heat exchanger for any abnormal phenomena such as leakage. If leakage is found, mark the leaking area promptly and address it after shutdown.

(2) Periodically check pressure gauges and thermometers to observe for any abnormalities.

(3) During shutdown, first gradually close the inlet valves for the hot and cold media, then close the outlet valves for both media. During startup, do the opposite: open the outlet valves first, then slowly open the inlet valves.

(4) Regularly test the low-pressure side media to prevent mixing with high-pressure side media. If mixing occurs, it indicates internal leakage, and the unit should be shut down for handling.

2. Shutdown Procedures and Precautions

(1) Before shutdown, the pump must be stopped first, and the power supply cut off.

(2) After stopping the pump, gradually close the hot media inlet valve, followed by the cold media inlet valve. Finally, close the outlet valves for both media.

(3) If there is a vent valve on the pipeline, it should be opened.

(4) For high-temperature media and corrosive media, ensure the equipment is vented as much as possible to avoid burns to personnel and corrosion damage to the equipment when opening it.
