High-pressure steam is converted into a high-speed airflow through the nozzle, creating a low-pressure zone at the nozzle outlet, which draws in low-pressure steam. While expanding, the high-pressure steam compresses the low-pressure steam, improving its quality. After mixing in the mixing chamber, the steam passes through the diffuser to recover some pressure loss, reaching the required steam pressure for supply to thermal users.
