Clothing Storage Products Covered by This Policy
Clothing storage products refer to furniture items with drawers or hinged doors, typically bedroom furniture, used for storing clothing. This policy applies to freestanding clothing storage products, including but not limited to chests, dressers, drawer cabinets, armoires, wardrobe cabinets, wardrobes, door cabinets, and vanities, which meet the following requirements:
- Freestanding
- At least 27 inches in height
- At least 30 pounds in weight
-- At least 3.2 cubic feet of enclosed storage capacity
The volume of extendable components is calculated by multiplying the height (measured from ? inch below the drawer bottom to the lowest obstruction point) by its width and depth (if depths vary, use the average of the shortest and longest depths).
-- The capacity of non-extendable enclosed storage is calculated as 50% of the height multiplied by the width and depth of the storage area.
This policy excludes shelving products such as bookcases or entertainment furniture, office furniture, dining furniture, jewelry cabinets, under-bed drawer storage products, temporary or special-purpose furniture not intended for bedroom use, laundry storage or organization products, nightstands, or built-in products permanently attached to buildings or "clothing storage boxes."
Amazon requires that all other clothing storage products be tested and comply with the following regulations, standards, and requirements:
