Properties: White needle-like crystals. Relative density 1.32-1.38. Soluble in benzene, carbon tetrachloride; slightly soluble in acetone, gasoline; poorly soluble in ethanol, ether; insoluble in water. Decomposes upon contact with inorganic acids or bases. Stable under normal storage conditions. Non-toxic, with a fishy odor. Contact with skin or mucous membranes can cause strong and persistent pungency.

Applications: This product can be used as a vulcanizing agent and accelerator for natural and synthetic rubbers. Rubber compounds containing this product exhibit no blooming, no staining, no discoloration, and easy dispersion. When used in efficient and semi-efficient vulcanization systems, the resulting vulcanizates exhibit good heat resistance and aging resistance. It releases active sulfur at vulcanization temperatures, with an effective sulfur content of 27%. It is safe to handle, but vulcanization is slow when used alone. Combining with thiazoles, thiurams, and dithiocarbamates can increase the vulcanization rate. This product is particularly suitable for butyl rubber and is mainly used in the production of tires, butyl inner tubes, rubber belts, and heat-resistant rubber products. It is also used as an asphalt stabilizer for highways.

Storage:  Should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Packaged products should be protected from direct sunlight. Shelf life: 1 year.
