Properties: Appears as white or slightly yellowish crystals, relative molecular mass 69.0, specific gravity: 2.168, odorless, slightly salty taste, deliquescent, easily soluble in water, melting point 271°C, decomposition temperature 320°C, exhibits both oxidizing and reducing properties. Slowly oxidizes in air to nitrate particles, and readily forms diazo compounds with amino groups at low temperatures.
Applications: This product is primarily used as a raw material in the production of nitro compounds, azo dyes, etc., serving as a mordant and bleaching agent for fabric dyeing. It is also used as a metal heat treatment agent, electroplating corrosion inhibitor, and in medicine for equipment disinfection and as a preservative.
