Flow Cytometer Filter Ultrasonic Cleaner

The optical system of a flow cytometer consists of several sets of optical lenses, apertures, and filters, which can be broadly divided into two groups: pre-flow cell and post-flow cell.

The pre-flow cell optical system is composed of lenses and apertures (typically 2 lenses and 1 aperture). Its main function is to focus the circular cross-section laser beam emitted by the laser source into an elliptical laser beam with a smaller cross-section, ensuring a normal distribution of laser energy. This allows cells passing through the laser detection zone to receive consistent illumination intensity, minimizing stray light interference to the greatest extent.

The post-flow cell optical system primarily consists of multiple sets of filters. The main function of the filters is to direct fluorescent signals of different wavelengths to different photomultiplier tubes.

Structure and Function: Independent cleaning tank with a four-sided serrated overflow structure. Liquid enters through the inlet and overflows to the drain port for discharge. The top of the tank is equipped with heating tubes to provide a heat source, and an FFU blows air downward.

1. Check whether the liquid levels in each storage tank are within the specified range. After starting each circulation pump, observe the drop in liquid levels. If the liquid level in the first storage tank falls below 50mm from the heater, replenish the cleaning solution.

2. If the filter is clogged, the pressure gauge needle will move upward. Once the approximate standard is determined, replace the internal filter element.

3. The shaking mechanism should be lubricated every three months.

4. Regularly clean the surfaces of the heaters in each tank.

5. Periodically inspect and calibrate each temperature regulator.

6. Regularly clean the inside of the cold coils. Otherwise, scale may accumulate inside the pipes, reducing the pipe diameter and diminishing cooling efficiency.
