Used as an anti-ozone aging agent in natural rubber, polybutadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, nitrile rubber, and butyl rubber. It can also serve as an anti-tearing agent or a general antioxidant.
Antioxidant 4030 is a low-tonnage, highly effective anti-ozone antioxidant. Although its anti-ozone effect under dynamic conditions is not significant and it is less used in the tire industry, its high efficiency in static anti-ozone performance, along with its liquid form which facilitates dispersion and rubber processing, gives it good market prospects in wire and cable, automotive rubber products, and rubber products used in specific environments.
This product is an effective anti-ozone protective agent for natural rubber and various synthetic rubbers. It has excellent anti-ozone aging performance under static conditions, significantly better than antioxidants 4010NA and 4020, which are known for their excellent anti-ozone aging properties. However, its effectiveness under dynamic anti-ozone conditions is limited. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for rubber products that remain in static conditions for long periods. It is applicable to compounds that work under static conditions for extended periods, such as aircraft tires, engineering tires, agricultural equipment tires, automotive structural brackets, fixed hoses, and sealing strips.
Antioxidant 4030 can effectively prevent the catalytic degradation of rubber compounds by copper and other heavy metals, making it very suitable for wires, cables, hoses, and belts that are used statically for long durations.
Antioxidant 4030 is a liquid, easy to disperse, and has very high solubility in rubber. Coupled with its higher molecular weight compared to antioxidants 4010NA and 4020, it does not cause blooming even at high concentrations and is less likely to migrate out of the rubber compound. It can be used alone in rubber products that require stringent static anti-ozone aging performance.
Currently, there are no clear regulations domestically or internationally regarding the use of antioxidant 4030 in manufacturing items that come into contact with food. Additionally, when used in combination with chlorinated paraffin, antioxidant 4030 can effectively improve the anti-microbial properties of rubber compounds.
The general dosage of antioxidant 4030 is 0.5-3 parts. It accelerates the vulcanization and shortens the scorch time of the compound. When used in large amounts, no adjustment to the vulcanization system is necessary. It can be used alone in static rubber products, but under dynamic conditions, it needs to be combined with antioxidants 4010NA and 4020.
