Uses:
1. Sodium methacrylate is used as a dispersant and can also be used as an auxiliary material in coatings. Sodium methacrylate polymerizes to form sodium polyacrylate, which is a type of polyanionic polymer electrolyte and an important chemical product with a wide range of applications developed in modern times.
2. Sodium polyacrylate includes water-soluble and water-swellable types. Water-swellable sodium polyacrylate falls into the category of superabsorbent polymers.
