At the same time, the ribs on the rotor cause the rubber to move axially along the rotor, playing a mixing role, making the compounding agents evenly mixed in the rubber. The compounding agents are repeatedly sheared and broken, the rubber repeatedly deforms and recovers, and the continuous stirring of the rotor ribs disperses the compounding agents evenly in the rubber and achieves a certain degree of dispersion. Because the shear effect on the rubber during mixing in the internal mixer is much greater than that in the open mill, and the mixing temperature is higher, the efficiency of mixing in the internal mixer is much higher than that in the open mill.
