Measuring AC and DC Current
LeCroy current probes reliably measure current without inserting a shunt circuit in series, utilizing Hall effect and transformer technology. They are ideal for measuring AC, DC, and pulse currents.
Seamless Integration with Oscilloscopes
Many current probes require external power and amplifiers to display waveforms on oscilloscopes. All LeCroy current probes are directly powered via the ProBus interface, eliminating the need for additional hardware. Besides power supply, the oscilloscope communicates with the current probe through ProBus, enabling current waveforms to be automatically displayed in amperes. Calculated power waveforms can also be displayed in watts. Similarly, degaussing and auto-zeroing can be performed with a single button press on the oscilloscope.
Applications
LeCroy's range of current probes meets various application needs. These probes offer bandwidths up to 100MHz, peak currents up to 700A, and sensitivities as low as 10mA/div. Multiple current probes can be used simultaneously for three-phase system measurements, and they can be paired with voltage probes for instantaneous power measurements. LeCroy current probes are commonly used in switch-mode power supplies, motor drives, electric vehicles, and UPS power measurements.
