Fully automatic water softening equipment is suitable for: boiler make-up water, central air conditioning, drinking water, industrial cooling water, circulating water, food and dairy industry, beverage brewing water, textile, printing and dyeing, and other fields of softening treatment.
Commonly used water softening equipment mainly includes manual type, domestic combined type, and imported multi-valve type. Among them, the imported multi-valve type water softener is the main product in the current market. This equipment uses imported multi-valves and controllers as the core, paired with domestically produced resin tanks, salt tanks, pipelines, and cation resins to form fully automatic water softening equipment. The tanks are further divided into different materials such as fiberglass, stainless steel, and carbon steel, resulting in significant price differences.
Major brands of imported multi-valves include Autotrol(GE/Autotrol, also translated as Autotrol) and Pentair/Fleck (also translated as Fleck), which can provide a treatment capacity ranging from a minimum of 0.5 t/h to a maximum of about 200 t/h.
The presence of calcium and magnesium ions in water is the main reason for the formation of scale when water temperature changes. Ordinary water contains a variety of soluble compounds, some of which have significantly changing solubility with temperature variations. Among them, substances like calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate have solubility that decreases as temperature rises. When the temperature increases, the originally dissolved calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate precipitate out, forming deposits. These deposits can appear as flocs, powders, or settle on the surfaces of containers and pipes, forming scale.
Since the deposition of scale has a significant impact on both daily life and industrial production, both production water and domestic water have certain requirements for hardness indicators. Especially in boiler water, if hardness salts are present, scale will form on the heating surfaces of the boiler, thereby reducing boiler thermal efficiency, increasing fuel consumption, and even causing damage to components due to localized overheating of metal surfaces, leading to pipeline failures. Therefore, water softening treatment is necessary for low-pressure boilers; for medium and high-pressure boilers, water softening and desalination treatments are required.
