Overview

The GE Reflective Memory Switch (hereinafter referred to as the switch) is designed for GE series communication networks. When the switch detects a loss of board signal, it can automatically bypass inactive or faulty nodes, allowing other GE series communication network node cards to continue operating. The GE Reflective Memory Switch features 8 SFP transceivers, supporting multi-mode transceivers for short-distance communication and single-mode transceivers for long-distance communication. The GE Reflective Memory Switch can be cascaded to form larger networks. Information can be viewed and the switch configured via a 232 interface.
