Antioxidant 2246 is a white or milky white crystalline powder with a melting point of 120-130°C; density of 1.04-1.09. It is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, benzene, and petroleum ether, but insoluble in water. It has a slight phenolic odor; this product is non-toxic and exhibits good storage stability. Over prolonged storage, it may develop a slight reddish tint, but this does not affect its antioxidant and anti-aging performance in oils, rubber, and plastics.
