Dynamic Thermal Response Tester

Working Principle:

Used for the detection and evaluation of the thermal printing performance of direct thermal materials.

The main factors affecting the thermal printing response performance of direct thermal materials are: printhead pressure, print energy, and print speed. This instrument simulates the thermal printing process, conducting print tests on direct thermal materials under varying print pressures, speeds, and energy conditions. The printed patterns can be selected from options such as checkerboard, solid pattern, barcode, etc. The thermal response performance of the material is reflected or evaluated by testing the optical density value of the printed patterns.

Standard Operating Procedure:

Place the thermal material under the thermal printhead and lower the printhead onto the test sample. On the instrument's control panel, select the appropriate switches to define the dynamic thermal response process. The panel offers three options: print energy, speed settings, and seven different test patterns, all of which can be configured by the user. After setting the print energy and test pattern, the user can choose to perform a complete print or select any one of the ten energy settings for the test pattern. Additionally, the Model 400 can perform repeated prints of any single test pattern, with options for 1, 5, or 10 repetitions. If the user wishes to understand the thermal printing results at different print speeds, the instrument can also provide tests at varying print speeds under constant print energy.
