Appearance Inspection

Surface Quality: Observe whether the plastic pallet surface is smooth, and check for defects such as bubbles, cracks, deformation, material shortage, and flash. High-quality plastic pallets should have a flat and smooth surface with no obvious flaws, ensuring stable placement of goods and preventing any impact on the pallet's strength and service life due to surface defects.

Color Uniformity: Check if the pallet color is uniform and consistent. Significant color differences may result from uneven raw material mixing or unstable processing techniques during production, which could affect the overall performance and aesthetics of the pallet.

Dimensional Accuracy Inspection

Length, Width, and Height: Use measuring tools (such as tape measures, calipers, etc.) to measure the length, width, and height of the pallet, ensuring they meet design requirements and the tolerance range specified by relevant standards. Accurate dimensions are crucial for the pallet's compatibility in logistics systems, such as fitting smoothly into shelves or transport vehicles.

Diagonal Deviation: Measure the lengths of the pallet's diagonals and calculate the difference between the two. The diagonal deviation should be within the allowable range; otherwise, it may lead to an irregular pallet shape, affecting its stability and performance.

Weight Inspection

Use a scale to weigh the plastic pallet and check if it meets the design requirements. If the weight is too light, it may indicate insufficient wall thickness or the use of low-density materials, which could compromise the pallet's strength. If the weight is too heavy, it may increase costs and transportation burdens.

Physical Performance Inspection

Tensile Strength: Conduct tensile tests to determine the strength performance of the pallet material under tensile load, assessing the pallet's ability to withstand tensile forces and ensuring it does not crack or deform under the weight of goods or tensile stress during use.

Flexural Strength: Perform bending tests to detect the strength and stiffness of the pallet under bending loads, reflecting its ability to resist bending deformation when carrying goods or subjected to external forces.

Impact Strength: Use impact tests to simulate potential impacts during actual use, such as collisions during loading and unloading, to examine the pallet's impact resistance and ensure it does not easily break under unexpected impacts.

Hardness: Measure the hardness of the plastic pallet to understand its resistance to external pressure. Appropriate hardness ensures the pallet does not dent under localized pressure when carrying goods and avoids scratches or wear when in contact with other objects.

Chemical Performance Inspection

Chemical Corrosion Resistance: Place the pallet in common chemical environments (such as acids, alkalis, salts, etc.) and observe whether discoloration, deformation, or dissolution occurs to evaluate its tolerance to chemicals. This is particularly important for pallets used in industries like chemical and food processing, where exposure to various chemicals is common.

Aging Performance: Conduct artificial accelerated aging tests (such as UV exposure, thermal aging, etc.) to simulate the effects of environmental factors during long-term use, detecting changes in performance over time to predict the pallet's service life and stability under different environmental conditions.

Other Inspections

Slip Resistance: Check the slip resistance of the pallet surface. A simple test can be performed by placing a heavy object on an inclined surface at a certain angle and observing whether the object slides easily. Good slip resistance prevents goods from slipping during transportation and storage, ensuring their safety.

Stacking Performance: Conduct stacking tests by stacking multiple pallets together and applying a certain load to observe whether the pallets can withstand stacking pressure without deformation or cracking, assessing their load-bearing capacity and stability during stacked storage.
