The Famen Temple Gilded Zen Staff was unearthed in 1987 in Famen Town, Fufeng County, Shaanxi Province, China. The original artifact stands 196 cm tall, with a wheel diameter of 25.5 cm, ring diameter of 6.8 cm, staff rod diameter of 3.25 cm, and weighs 2390 grams. It is the earliest and most exquisitely crafted Buddhist ritual instrument discovered in the world, highly praised by national leaders.   

      The genuine piece is known as the King of Monk's Staffs, featuring an overall exquisite design. It surpasses the white bronze-headed staff housed in Japan's Shōsōin Repository in both grade and grandeur, with more refined craftsmanship, making it a remarkable Buddhist treasure. This Zen staff is a replica based on the Famen Temple staff, made of copper plated with real gold, employing engraving techniques. It is exquisitely crafted and holds profound significance. As a fine piece for Buddhist temples, it possesses considerable collectible value.
