Used in organic synthesis, polymerization initiators, raw material for antibiotic drugs like clindamycin, and as a standard sample for phosphorus determination in organic microanalysis. 2. Preparation of palladium, iridium, rhodium, nickel, and other complex catalysts; Wittig reagent; deoxygenation of triphenylphosphine dihalides (pyridine N-oxide, nitrosobenzene, hydroperoxides); desulfurization and debromination reagents. Converts α-bromonitro compounds to nitriles. Reacts with aliphatic diazo compounds to synthesize α-ketoaldehydes and β-keto esters. Facilitates Beckmann rearrangement. Dequaternization of pyridinium salts. Used in various syntheses with bromine, iodine, carbon tetrachloride (bromide), N-bromosuccinimide, etc. 3.
