Product Performance: Tetrahydrofuran, a colorless transparent liquid with an ether-like odor. Density 0.8892, refractive index 1.405, boiling point 66°C, freezing point -108.56°C. Soluble in water and most organic solvents. Highly flammable. Can form explosive peroxides in air. Reacts with hydrogen chloride under pressure to form 1,4-dichlorobutane. Used as a solvent for natural and synthetic resins (especially vinyl resins), and in the production of butadiene, adiponitrile, adipic acid, hexamethylenediamine, etc.

Product Applications: Tetrahydrofuran is characterized by low toxicity, low boiling point, and good fluidity. It is an important organic synthesis raw material and an excellent solvent with a wide range of uses. Tetrahydrofuran has good solubility for many organic substances. It can dissolve almost all organic compounds except polyethylene, polypropylene, and fluororesins. It is particularly effective in dissolving polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, and吁苯胺 (Note: "吁苯胺" appears to be a typo or untranslatable term; possibly intended as "aniline" or similar, but left as is due to ambiguity). It is widely used as a reaction solvent and is known as the "universal solvent." As a common solvent, tetrahydrofuran is extensively used in surface coatings, protective coatings, inks, extractants, and surface treatment of artificial leather. Tetrahydrofuran is a key raw material for producing polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG) and is also a major solvent in the pharmaceutical industry.
