Application Areas:
1. Plasticized PVC itself is sticky, which can cause difficulties in extrusion and calendaring processes. To avoid this drawback, lubricants are required. Stearic acid is commonly used, and while it provides good lubrication, it suffers from the issue of lubricant migration. Honeywell A-C629A wax, due to its relatively high molecular weight, achieves the same lubricating effect without migration during PVC processing.
2. Honeywell A-C629A wax significantly enhances the gloss of products in plasticized PVC, making it a brightening agent for high-gloss PVC products.
3. Due to its unique oxidized structure, Honeywell A-C629A wax has excellent compatibility with PVC and promotes plasticization.
A-C 629 is a low molecular weight oxidized polyethylene (OPE) wax, typically used in plasticized PVC extrusion and calendaring. It is produced through a unique molecular synthesis process that directly polymerizes ethylene gas molecules, followed by moderate oxidation to generate emulsifiable functional groups such as carboxyl groups. It offers the advantages of precise molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution. A-C 629 can serve as a multifunctional additive, widely used in plastic production and coating applications. With its good oxidized carboxyl functional groups, A-C 629 can be effectively emulsified, making it suitable for both water-based and oil-based products. It is used in the production of high-performance anti-settling wax pastes for coatings, textile softening agents (for materials like denim), printing pastes, wax emulsions, floor polishing waxes, fruit preservation coatings, and varnishes.
