Antioxidant 168

Antioxidant LY-9601 (i.e., 168) is a processing stabilizer for polyolefins with excellent resistance to water extraction, low volatility, and high thermal stability.

Chemical Name: Tris(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite

Physical Properties

White powder or white crystalline powder, soluble in benzene, chloroform, and dichloroethane, almost insoluble in water, odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic.

Storage and Packaging

Store in a dry, low-temperature environment with a minimum shelf life of one year. Packed in cardboard drums lined with two layers of PE film, each drum has a net weight of 25 kg.

Performance and Applications

This product is an excellent phosphite-based secondary antioxidant. When compounded with antioxidants such as 1010, 1076, and 3114, it exhibits strong synergistic effects. It also shows excellent synergy when used in combination with hindered amine light stabilizers. This product is widely used as a processing stabilizer and thermal-oxidative stabilizer for polyolefins, polystyrene, ABS resin, and polycarbonate. It is particularly suitable for the production and post-processing of PE film materials and PP, and can be used in food-contact plastic products. The recommended dosage is 0.1–0.2%.
