This product is 2-bromo-2-nitro-1,3-propanediol. It has a solubility of up to 28.0 w/v in water at room temperature, and its concentrated aqueous solution tends to crystallize at low temperatures. It has poor solubility in non-polar solvents but exhibits good affinity in polar organic solvents. This product easily integrates into water-based formulation systems. In non-aqueous systems, achieving effective dissolution levels of Bronopol is possible by selecting excipients or using appropriate carrier solvents. Bronopol does not accumulate in the environment and has been proven to be biodegradable.

 

This product is used as a bactericidal preservative in daily chemical products; for the disinfection and preservation of wet wipes and wet towels. The method of use is as follows: Dilute the product uniformly with deionized water to the recommended concentration, then immerse the wipes or towels to be disinfected and preserved in the diluted solution for 10 minutes, remove and drain before packaging. It can also be used for the preservation of toiletries and cleaning agents.

 

In this product series, the crystalline form is packaged in 20 kg/paper bags or 25 kg/paper drums.

 

All products in this series should be stored sealed, dry, and at room temperature. The shelf life of the crystalline product is three years, and that of the liquid product is one year. During transportation, the products should be handled gently and stacked carefully.
