Lutrol®F 68 (Poloxamer 188) is a block copolymer of polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene. This product complies with the current European Pharmacopoeia (Ph.Eur) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP/NF) requirements for Poloxamer 188. This product has obtained an import product registration certificate. It is primarily used as a thickener and emulsifier, and can also be employed in parenteral formulations. Its solubilizing effect does not depend on micelle formation. This product can also serve as a dispersant and wetting agent for preparing solid dispersions, enhancing the solubility, absorption, and bioavailability of poorly soluble active substances in solid oral dosage forms. This raw material is generally processed through melt granulation and spray granulation. Additionally, it can be used as a co-emulsifier in creams and emulsions, a stabilizer for suspensions, and a lubricant for tablets.
