It boasts a biodegradability rate of over 90%, making it an ideal base oil for No. 46 and 68 synthetic ester-type fire-resistant hydraulic fluids. As an oiliness agent, it is widely used in cold-rolling fluids for steel plates, wire drawing oils for steel pipes, cutting oils, release agents, and other metalworking fluids. It can also serve as an intermediate for textile and leather auxiliaries and as a textile oil.
