Dow Corning TC-5026
Dow Corning's Automotive Electronics Division announced the launch of Dow Corning TC-5026 thermal grease, specifically designed for the automotive industry. The original concept of Dow Corning TC-5026 was primarily developed for semiconductor components in the computer industry. After extensive customer testing, it has been confirmed that the product's performance is also highly suitable for demanding and high-temperature automotive applications. Under adverse conditions such as thermal cycling, high humidity, and high-temperature aging, Dow Corning TC-5026 sets a new industry performance standard with its ultra-low thermal impedance, high reliability, and stability. The thermal resistance of TC-5026 is up to 30% lower than that of existing competing products in the market, enabling lower chip temperatures and more efficient operation.

Dow Corning's formulation allows TC-5026 thermal grease to avoid being squeezed out, drying out, loosening, peeling, or shifting due to its advanced solvent-free composition. These characteristics are particularly important for harsh automotive environments, as they prevent the gradual degradation of thermal performance over time. Even after storage or exposure to air, this formulation remains easy to apply through screen printing and dispensing. With a high thermal conductivity of 2.9W/mK, it demonstrates exceptional thermal performance in applications with smaller fill thicknesses, making it highly suitable for entertainment and other electronic applications inside automobiles. For applications requiring larger fill thicknesses, Dow Corning has also developed other thixotropic composite materials, which will be launched soon. These new products will be suitable for filling gaps of 1mm or larger while delivering equally outstanding performance.
