Structure and Working Principle of the Filter: The bag filter is a versatile filtration device with a novel structure, compact size, simple and flexible operation, energy efficiency, high performance, enclosed operation, and strong adaptability. It is a pressure-based filtration system primarily composed of a filter cylinder, cylinder cover, quick-opening mechanism, and stainless steel filter bag reinforcement mesh. The liquid to be filtered enters the filter bag through the side inlet pipe of the housing. The filter bag is housed within a reinforced mesh basket, and the liquid permeates through the bag of the required fineness grade to obtain qualified filtrate, while impurity particles are intercepted by the bag. The filter bag replacement is highly convenient, and the filtration process involves minimal material consumption. Specifications of the Bag Filter: Bag filters are categorized into single-bag filters, multi-bag filters, and jacketed filters. Multi-bag filters are suitable for high-flow filtration, available in configurations from 2 to 24 bags, with a complete range of specifications. Inlet and outlet flange diameters range from φ50–450 mm, and the maximum flow rate per unit is 90–1000 m3/h. A quick-opening design is available for easy filter bag replacement. They are also suitable for applications where extended use before bag replacement is desired. Jacketed Heating Type: The jacketed bag filter features a double-layer structure, with the jacket allowing the passage of steam or thermal oil to maintain or increase fluid temperature, prevent solidification, enhance the filtration speed of viscous liquids, or meet temperature requirements for subsequent processes. Filtration Operation and Precautions: Operation is straightforward: install the filter bag of the required fineness grade into the filter cylinder, ensure the O-ring seal is intact, and then tighten the annular bolts of the cylinder cover to begin work. After starting the pump, the pressure gauge on the filter will show a slight increase, with an initial pressure of approximately 0.05 MPa. Over time, residue accumulates in the cylinder. When the pressure reaches 0.4 MPa, stop the machine, open the cylinder cover, and inspect the residue retained by the filter bag. The filter bag can be replaced for continued use (filter bags are generally reusable after cleaning). The operating pressure is typically set between 0.1–0.3 MPa and can be adjusted via the return pipeline or the pump’s return valve. Excessively high pressure may damage the filter bag and protective mesh, so caution is advised.
