BYK-P104S anti-flooding and anti-floating dispersing agent is suitable for medium to highly polar systems and is particularly effective in preventing flooding when titanium dioxide is combined with other colored pigments. It can also be used in amine-neutralized water-borne coatings. It is not soluble in mineral spirits. When used in anti-corrosive primers, it enhances protective performance in many cases.

Anti-flooding and anti-floating dispersing agentalso contains a small amount of polysiloxane copolymer to more effectively avoid flooding. This silicone content also helps prevent Benard cell formation and silking, and it improves surface slip, leveling, and the orientation of matting agents or aluminum powders, thus often eliminating the need for additional silicone additives.
