In June 1999, the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics initiated the project "Research on the Production Process and Application of Zhongke No. 3 Oligosaccharide Biopesticide." Through the efforts of scientists, the fermentation process of amino oligosaccharides and the preparation and separation processes of the biopesticide were completed.

In September 2001, China's first amino oligosaccharide production facility was established at Dalian Kaifei Chemical Co., Ltd., with the product branded as "Haopu." This marked the beginning of the research, development, production, and application of "amino oligosaccharides" in China.

The project was included in the Chinese Academy of Sciences' "Ninth Five-Year Plan" key research and development program and was also listed in the National High-Tech Research and Development (863) Program.

The raw materials for production are derived from marine crustaceans, such as shrimp shells and crab shells, from which chitin is extracted. After deacetylation and specific endonuclease degradation, low-molecular-weight oligo-amino sugars with shorter glucosamine chains are obtained.

Extensive experiments and applications have shown that this oligo-amino sugar facilitates full absorption and utilization by crops.

By activating the plant's own immune system, the plant acquires systemic resistance (including stress resistance), thereby gaining non-specific, broad-spectrum disease and stress resistance. By inducing crops to utilize their own disease and stress resistance functions, the goal of increasing yield and income is achieved.

This product employs bio-fermentation technology and belongs to the category of biochemical pesticides. It is a green, pollution-free, residue-free, non-phytotoxic, and degradable plant resistance inducer.
