To overcome the drawback of fixed drill bushings being irreplaceable after wear, replaceable drill bushings were developed. The standard replaceable drill bushing has a shoulder milled on its flange. The stepped head of the drill bushing screw presses against this shoulder to prevent the replaceable drill bushing from rotating. By unscrewing the screw, the replaceable drill bushing can be removed. For drill templates using replaceable drill bushings, a special bushing should be installed at the location of the replaceable drill bushing. The replaceable drill bushing is mounted inside this bushing to avoid damaging the drill template during replacement. The actual function of the replaceable drill bushing is the same as that of a fixed drill bushing, intended solely for the drilling process. Replaceable drill bushings are used in large-batch production to facilitate quick replacement after wear.
